Overview
TCGCensus ("we", "our", "the site") is a card price intelligence tool. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
What we collect
We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the site:
- Analytics data — page views, clicks, and navigation patterns via Google Analytics 4. This is only collected after you accept cookies. We use this to understand which features are useful and where we can improve.
- Email address — if you sign up for our newsletter or restock alerts, we store your email to send you the requested notifications. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- IP address — used anonymously for rate limiting votes and preventing abuse. Not stored long-term.
Cookies
We use one category of cookies:
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to track usage. These are only activated after you click "Accept cookies" in the banner. You can decline at any time and no analytics cookies will be set.
We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing cookies, or sell your data to any third party.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics 4 — analytics and usage tracking. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosting and edge network. May log IP addresses and request headers for security purposes. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California):
- Right to access the personal data we hold about you
- Right to delete your data
- Right to opt out of analytics at any time (decline cookies or clear your cookie consent)
- Right to opt out of email communications (unsubscribe link in every email)
